Arthur Melby Bernard Gray was the son of Jeremiah Gray (1837-1902) and Hannah West (b. 1852), the
husband of Cornelia "Cora" Eva (Herschel) Gray (1897-1993), and the father of Ronald Stuart Gray
(1924-1982).
Arthur’s brother Jesse Kendrick Gray (1896-1958) also served in the First World War.
Arthur worked as a motorman for Bay State Street Railway (later Eastern Massachusetts Street Railway)
in Swampscott, Mass., both before and after the First World War.
