June 29, 1931 Maitland, Nova Scotia August 30, 1950 Halifax, Nova Scotia September 29, 1950 19 Saint John The Baptist Anglican Church Cemetery, Maple Grove, Hants Co., NS Commemorated on Page 13 of the Korean War Book of Remembrance. Private Clooney, the son of Mr. Garfield and Mrs. Elizabeth Clooney, Maple Grove, Hants Co. NS, enlisted with the special force being recruited for service in Korea. He was killed when the taxi in which he and a number of comrades in training were returning to Camp Petawawa from Pembroke, collided with another vehicle on September 28, 1950. Private Clooney died the following day.
