Students To Preserve Wartime Heritage Through Song And Stories
February 2, 2005

Article in the Chester Clipper (Chester NS)

We are so excited about an upcoming event at our branch that we want to get the word out as soon as possible.

Everett Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in Chester Basin is hosting 440 Productions. The group is made up of current and former students of Yarmouth Consolidated High School, directed by George Egan, a teacher at the school. They are attempting to preserve our wartime heritage through the songs and stories of the ordinary men and women who actually experienced them.

The show will take place at Everett Branch on April 23. It is a non-smoking event and all ages are welcome. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Wartime refreshments will be served at intermission. The proceeds will go to 440 Productions, who will take the show overseas in the future, for the second time. For more information, call the branch secretary at 275-3948.

We always take the time to remember on November 11. Let's take this opportunity to, once again, remember them.
