Beyond the Parade
With the success of one video movie, 440 undertook a major video movie in 1998-1999, Beyond the Parade.
This was a story of wartime experience beyond the formal parades of basic training in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the military camps in England, and the battlefields of Normandy.
The movie explores the important memories that lie forever in the heart and mind of a veteran. The challenge was to re-create as many aspects of wartime as possible.
The movie included the filming of barrack scenes, basic training and battle scenes, a wartime wedding, British pub scenes, and romantic scenes in different locations.
