Seven Canadian soldiers, in what should have been a simple patrol in the final days of World War II, are separated from their main Company. They are forced to endure a hidden enemy in battle and each discovers through memories, hopes, dreams, truth and fear, a cold and silent reality of war. Each soldier has a story to tell, and each story is as unique as the character and personality of the individual portrayed. Screenshots Side By Side - Songs of the War Years Side By Side - Songs of the War Years, was performed at Th'YARC in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, in May 2002.
